Frequently Asked Questions
Booking & Appointments
Do I need to be home during the appointment? We recommend it, especially for your pet’s first visit — it helps them feel more settled, and we may need you to sign off or make quick decisions (like a shorter cut for a matted coat). That said, once we’ve groomed your pet before and you’re comfortable, some clients do step out briefly during the appointment.
How do I book? Simply give us a call. Choose your service, pick a date and time, and we’ll confirm your appointment along with an approximate arrival window.
How much notice do you need? We recommend booking at least a few days in advance, especially for weekend slots. That said, give us a call — we do sometimes have same-week or last-minute openings.
Do you offer recurring appointments? Yes. Many clients set up a recurring schedule (every 4, 6, or 8 weeks depending on the service) so grooming day never gets missed. Let us know when booking and we’ll set it up.
What’s your cancellation policy? We ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a fee — details are confirmed at booking.
The Appointment Itself
What actually happens during a mobile grooming visit? Our van pulls up right to your driveway or curb. Your pet comes out to the van, gets groomed one-on-one with our full attention, and comes back to you looking (and feeling) refreshed. Most appointments take 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the service and your pet’s size and coat.
Does the van need power or water hookups? No — our van is fully self-contained with its own water and power supply. All we need is a place to park close to your home.
What if my dog is aggressive or very anxious? This is exactly what mobile grooming is built for. Without other pets, cages, or a busy salon around them, most anxious dogs are noticeably calmer. Let us know about any anxiety, reactivity, or past grooming trauma when you book, so we can plan extra time and a gentler pace. For pets with significant aggression, we’ll have an honest conversation about what’s safely possible.
Do you groom cats too? Yes. Cat grooming is done with the same calm, one-on-one approach as dog grooming — no barking dogs nearby, which many cats appreciate. See our Cat Grooming pricing in our home page for details.
Do you groom puppies or senior pets? Yes, both. Puppies benefit from an early, low-stress introduction to grooming, and senior pets often do especially well with mobile grooming since there’s no long wait and no jostling around other animals.
What if my pet has a medical condition or is on medication? Let us know at booking. We’re happy to work around medical needs, but for pets with significant health conditions, we may ask for your vet’s input to make sure grooming is safe and comfortable for them.
Pricing & Payment
Why do you list your prices online when other groomers don’t? We believe you shouldn’t have to call five groomers just to compare costs. Our pricing is upfront on our Pricing table in our home page, based on your pet’s size and service — and we’ll always confirm the final price with you before we start, never after.
Will my price ever be different from what’s listed? Occasionally, yes — heavily matted coats, certain thick or curly coat types (like doodles), or extra-difficult behavior can add time and cost. If that’s the case, we’ll always tell you and get your okay before doing any extra work.
What payment methods do you accept? We accept debit/credit card, e-transfer and cash.
Do you require a deposit? Yes, we require a $20 deposit to confirm your appointment.
Service Area & Logistics
What areas do you service? We currently serve Abbotsford and surrounding communities. Check your address directly when booking.
What if I live outside your service area? Reach out anyway — depending on the day and route, we may still be able to accommodate you, sometimes with a small travel fee.
Is parking an issue in my neighborhood? Usually not — our van just needs a spot near your home, similar to a parked car. If you’re in an apartment, condo, or have limited parking, let us know when booking so we can plan accordingly.
Trust & Safety
Are you licensed and insured? Yes — fully licensed and insured, so you can feel confident your pet is in professional, accountable hands.
What happens if you notice something concerning during the groom, like a lump or skin issue? We’ll always let you know. We’re not vets and won’t diagnose anything, but we’re an extra set of eyes on your pet’s skin, coat, ears, and nails, and we’ll flag anything worth following up on with your veterinarian.
What if my pet has never been groomed before? That’s completely fine — we regularly work with first-timers. We’ll go slowly, use plenty of positive reinforcement, and adjust our pace to how your pet is doing throughout the appointment.
Still have a question we didn’t cover? give us a call — we’re happy to help before you book.
